I tried both ways and personally like a thin wig cap because it keeps everything underneath feeling more contained. It's really just my preference.
My natural hair has subtle brownish sun highlights at the ends. I was worried the natural black set would look too solid, but the messy texture creates such a soft dimension that it looks totally natural.

I mixed straight textured pieces through my braids instead of curls and loved how different and editorial it looked.
Front-facing pictures were never my issue��it was always the back looking thin. The extra density makes a huge difference from that angle.
