Instead of mixing everything evenly, I place a different texture only in a few spots where I want more movement.
I used similar amounts on each side but didn't place everything perfectly symmetrical. That made the style look softer.
The air was really dry one day and I noticed a little static around the ends. Nothing major, but a tiny amount of leave-in helped calm it down.
