Knots was when I paid the most attention to tension check. The install felt better when I stopped treating tighter as more secure. I keep knots snug and let the braid base do the holding.
Once twisted, different tones appear throughout each section. It gives a dimensional look without me combining several hair colors myself.
My scalp is already braided underneath, so I just keep the waves off my neck while exercising and refresh afterward if needed.
I placed fewer sections directly around the part and increased the density farther down. The top stayed flatter that way.
Length gave me a real world test for 18 inch wear. 18 inches felt like a comfortable middle ground for everyday boho braids. That felt much more like something I would actually repeat. 🤎
The hair itself feels light, but packing your entire head tightly will obviously change the experience. My second install was more spaced out.

Daylight is where I trust my opinion of lace the most. The second wear looked much better than my first attempt. That made the whole look feel more natural on me.

Baby, it looks like its growing from my scalp. I first did boho braids for 1 week. After that week, I reused the same exact hair to do a full install without having boho braids, just crochet in. I'm in love with my style.
