Prepared pieces made me appreciate how I liked being able to redo one section without disturbing the rest of the style. For my own routine, that was more useful than making every section look identical.
A comb makes my bangs too neat for my taste. Breaking them up by hand gives me that softer, slightly effortless look.
I always get nervous after the first wash because that's when you find out how the hair really behaves. I washed mine gently, conditioned it and let it dry. It still felt soft afterward.
I wanted to see the haircut without as much wave, so I smoothed a few sections. You can really see the layering when the hair is straighter.
