I like the hair more after brushing the waves together. It becomes a big soft wave instead of looking like individual curled sections.

A few large rollers at the crown gave me more lift without turning the loose wave into tighter curls. That's become my favorite refresh method.

There's already plenty of density, so I don't tease the crown at all. Redirecting the roots gives me enough lift without making the top huge.

I bought this because I wanted full hair, so I don't expect it to feel like a light-density unit. For me the trick is styling the volume intentionally rather than trying to make it small.

If my bonnet comes off��which it definitely does sometimes��the hair isn't immediately rubbing against cotton all night.
Touching the Water Wave revealed a soft, airy pattern. Separating the ends lightly kept the texture from looking clumped.
Curls was a better test for water refresh than standing in the mirror. Plain water brought back enough definition for most of my refresh days. I mist the tired sections and leave the good waves alone. 💛
