I almost chose based only on which product photo I liked best. I'm glad I thought about how I actually style my own hair, because the right texture saves me more work than anything else.

Extra-long hair looks amazing, but it changes little things like sitting down and carrying a shoulder bag. I have to move the hair before I move myself sometimes.

I mixed the textures instead of using just one, and that ended up being my favorite part. I kept the braided sections cleaner with the Kinky Straight pieces and added a few Wet & Wavy strands toward the ends. It gave the whole style more dimension without looking too busy.
I use a small amount of product on my hands, gently reshape a few of the looser pieces, and leave the rest alone. That works better for me than constantly brushing through the hair and losing the texture.

I went with 20 inches because I wanted my braids to have a little more drama without going all the way to super long. The length gave me enough to play with when styling the ends, and I liked being able to switch up how I wore them instead of having one fixed look.
It has enough sheen to look healthy, but it doesn’t have that super glossy extension look that can make a protective style look obvious. Mine looked especially natural in daylight, which was important to me.
