I like the hair more after brushing the waves together. It becomes a big soft wave instead of looking like individual curled sections.

There's already plenty of density, so I don't tease the crown at all. Redirecting the roots gives me enough lift without making the top huge.

I bought this because I wanted full hair, so I don't expect it to feel like a light-density unit. For me the trick is styling the volume intentionally rather than trying to make it small.

I placed fewer sections directly around the part and increased the density farther down. The top stayed flatter that way.
