I checked the back with two mirrors because that's always my concern. The wave pattern gives it shape instead of looking like one curtain of hair.

If you want glass-straight hair that stays completely smooth in moisture, this probably isn't that texture. I bought it specifically for the natural blowout feel.
Recording a quick phone update let me watch the hairline through small movements. It stayed subtle in motion, and the roll curls appeared softer on screen than I expected from the mirror.
