For everyday upkeep, I’ve been pretty hands-off with this hair. I lightly separate the waves with my fingers when they start sitting together, then leave them alone. I actually prefer the slightly tousled look—it keeps the style from looking too stiff or overly styled.

I had fun mixing the pieces instead of installing them in the exact same pattern. I kept more of the brown around the sides and used fewer pieces toward the back. It gave my braids a more customized look, like I actually planned out the color placement.

I chose the 16-inch because I didn't want a super long crochet style this time. It hit around the length I wanted and made my braids feel a little more polished without taking over my face. Perfect for a shorter, everyday look.

The color has more depth than it looks like online.Inside, the brown is pretty subtle, but once I stepped outside, the warmer tones showed up more. That was actually my favorite part because the style looked different depending on the lighting.
