Custom wig ended up mattering more than I expected during the install. The texture blended best when I left some softness at the root. Turning the bundles into a custom wig gave me more control over parting and density.
Stand was when the routine finally started making sense. Air drying gave the hair a softer finish than using heat from start to finish.
Video made me notice the finished shape more than the individual bundles. The camera made me see where the hair needed a little more balance around my face. The ends stayed neat once my stylist shaped the install.
Brush taught me to use a lighter hand with the hair. The straight finish came back easily after the first wash. I used the dryer mostly at the roots and left the lengths with more natural movement.

For my routine, it helped that the maintenance felt reasonable for the result.

I'm extremely happy with the wearability of this hair. I've purchased hair from the Big "A" site, but it fell short of my expectations. So imagine my surprise when I did this install. Baby, it looks like its growing from my scalp. I first did boho braids for 1 week. After that week, I reused the same exact hair to do a full install without having boho braids, just crochet in. I'm in love with my style.
