Tissue inside the crown gave the waves room rather than compressing them. At the hotel, only the underside needed water and gentle reshaping.
If one loose piece starts looking tired later, I like knowing I have fresh sections I can swap in without redoing the whole style.
I always thought short hair would make my face look bigger, but the layers actually helped balance my features.
