Since the hair is shorter, I use much less conditioner than I do on my long units. I focus mostly on the lengths and ends.
I was careful not to soak my base, but misting the loose lengths didn't cause the attached sections to start slipping.
Too loose and I don't trust it; too tight and I feel it. After several pieces I found the tension that worked for me.
Packing left shallow creases near the Yaki Straight ends. One careful low heat pass made them less noticeable.
I curled only from mid-length down and left the textured roots alone. It looked like my own natural hair after a salon set.
The first comment I got at work was, ��I like your new haircut.�� Nobody asked me if I was wearing a wig. That's exactly the kind of reaction I want.
